What is PAD? PAD is the "Portable Application Description" developed by A.S.P.,
the Association of Shareware Professionals. PAD provides software authors a standardized way to describe
their applications to download sites, reviewers, and so on.
Once you have created a PAD file to describe your software, sites that use PAD files can extract your information to automate the submission process.
The best way to create a valid PAD file is to use PadGen, a free tool provided by A.S.P..
